Why Do I See Sales Tax on My TimeZest Invoice?

Some U.S. states require us to collect sales tax on their behalf. This isn’t a TimeZest fee — it’s a state-mandated tax obligation.

Why Sales Tax Appears on Your Invoice

TimeZest is required to comply with U.S. state tax laws. Certain states mandate that businesses like ours collect sales tax from customers located in their jurisdiction. Here’s what that means for you:

  • Based on your location: Sales tax is determined by the state where your business operates.

  • We don’t keep it: All collected tax is passed directly to your state.

  • Not a TimeZest fee: This charge is a state requirement, not an added cost from us.

States Where TimeZest Collects Sales Tax

  • Georgia

  • Illinois

  • New York

  • North Carolina

  • Ohio

  • Virginia

  • Florida

  • Maryland

  • Massachusetts

  • Michigan

  • Minnesota

  • New Jersey

If your state requires sales tax, it will be automatically applied to your invoice.
